My Elevator Superman

So, we all have shitty days right? Well, I had the worst day of my LIFE today....far too many things went wrong, and I was bombarded with bad news. Without going into detail, I just want to make it clear that I was having a "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!" (I used to love that book about Alexander when I was a child). Anyways, by the time I got to work, I was almost unrecognizable. Having cried the whole way over, my eyes were wet and bloodshot and my lips... my lips had swelled up to three times their normal size...which is saying something. But, my fat lips are not the subject of interest here...my "Elevator Superman" is. Walking into the building, a man whom I've never seen before, decided to wait and hold the door for me....despite the fact that I was still across the street. I thanked him with a fleeting "thanks" and scurried through the door, praying that he hadn't noticed my distorted features. I'm not big on letting people see me cry. Especially cute, fellow office-men who I could run into again at any given moment of the day. However, much to my dismay, he did notice. And as soon as we were alone in the elevator, he looked at me and said,
"I know it's really none of my business, but are you OK?"
"yea, just having a bad day." Was my sniffled reply.
"We're all entitled to those every once-in-a-while", he said with a genuine smile an helped me out of the elevator. I still don't even know his name...only that he works for the same company I do....un-known co-worker and a cute one at that. And he had cared enough, to ask me if I was OK.....
Yes. I'm a hopeless Romantic and that made my day. Total movie moment: damsel in distress, big, strong, male figure there to save the day.....So I get a little carried away. But hey, I'm entitled to my movie magic every once-in-a-while right? ;)
At any rate, I want to thank my "Elevator Superman" for making my day just a little more magical.

Chocolate Advice

Gotta love those Dove Promises...always have the best advice. I'll be sure to follow today's: "Temptation is fun...giving in is even better"
Mmmm...what's better than good dark chocolate urging me to embrace desire? Sounds good to me!
